## FAQ **Q: What currency does Dubai use and what time is it there?** Dubai uses the UAE Dirham (AED). The city runs on UTC+4, which is 3 hours behind Vietnam — when it is 3pm in Ho Chi Minh City, it is noon in Dubai. Arabic is the official language and English is very widely used, so signage, hotels and taxis in Dubai are straightforward for foreign visitors to navigate. **Q: Which area of Dubai should I stay in?** Dubai gives you two clear choices by budget. Deira and Bur Dubai are the affordable side at roughly $20–50 a night, while Downtown is the upmarket base at about $100–400 a night. Since the Dubai Metro links the city cheaply and efficiently, staying in the budget areas does not cut you off from the main sights. **Q: How long is the flight from Vietnam to Dubai?** Flight time depends on the route and airline. Direct flights are fastest, while connecting flights through hubs like Bangkok or Singapore may add 2-4 hours of layover. Check details on Pingsme to compare times and prices between direct vs. connecting flights. **Q: How far in advance should I book for the cheapest price?** According to Pingsme data, the best prices typically appear 3-4 weeks before departure for domestic routes and 6-8 weeks for international routes. Avoid last-minute bookings as prices can increase 50-100%. Enable price alerts on Pingsme to get notified of price drops. **Q: Does checked baggage come with budget tickets?** Most budget airline tickets (Vietjet, AirAsia, Jetstar) only include 7kg carry-on. Buying checked baggage online before the flight is usually 30-50% cheaper than at the airport. Pingsme displays baggage costs when comparing tickets so you can calculate the true total cost. --- Source: https://pingsme.com/en/blog/dubai-cheap-flights-1791701583236
